How To Create a Capacity Control Planning
Production Planning
Apparel Connect makes it easy to set and track hourly or daily production targets and measure performance with the aim of improving On Time Delivery and reducing lead times.

Daily Production Turnover

1. Estimate production lead time and start date to begin basic planning

2. System will calculate critical dates for all departments, from order confirmation to dispatch, in order meet factory's target lead time.

- Drill down into any task for detail

2. For management , it is easy to see and avoid planning problems . Color codes identify orders at risk , or behind schedule

- Each department is able to view their own upcoming critical dates, and detailed job information

- I.E. create machine layouts, and use the tools to assign operations, standard minutes, piece rates, helpers and operator levels and the system calculates required targets and factory CM cost and helps I.E. balance the line.

- Planners can try out different what-if scenarios in the production dashboard. Calculate finish times for a target quantity in the capacity calculator, move production orders up and down in the schedule and generate hourly targets and production schedules quickly and easily.
- If any plan is constrained by raw material availability, customer ETD, or T&A (e.g. the P.P. won't be done in time) , then the planner will be alerted. Double clicking on the alert gives full details. See next page

- Planners can take advantage of complete integration between inventory and production. Monitor and respond to changes in stock availability, and delivery delays in real time without leaving the planning board or attending a meeting
- Short items are highlighted – planner clicks for possible solutions (e.g. Next delivery date, similar products available from open stock , current allocations, in transit items..)

- Production plans can be delivered as calendar, Gantt or table however user prefers

- User can easily generate an orders bar-codes (move tickets) from WIP screen

- Perforated taffeta sewn bar-code tags are designed to be stitched on to the main body panel and stay with the garment through all operations including washing. As well as tracking internal production their design means vertical manufacturers can also track through distribution and retail.

- Or customer can implement piece rate payroll using move tickets for each operation

- The operator attaches the sticker for their operation as they complete each bundle, and at the end of the day all sheets are handed in to be scanned, updating production figures and generating earnings .

- Employee stickers are used to label boxes in to which the operator drops their completed operation ticket.

- All production and earnings data is available in the ERP for analysis or export to payroll

- Shop floor production data is available immediately to a variety of BI tools for tracking turnovers, efficiency, profit and loss, productivity etc.
